Pattern Lab users developing for Drupal might be interested in plans to use front matter in Drupal Twig templates, which would require adding support for Twig front matter in Pattern Lab (see my comments in this issue):

I see (Twig) template files as being similar to an API for decoupled front-end development (in Pattern Lab, for example). If template files are changed in an incompatible way, that should be treated as a breaking change.

Yep, I agree. We always release all the front end templates and assets in a separate repo & npm package that is versioned anyway, so that can get pulled into Drupal at the specific version.
